about

The Revival Preachers released their only album “Breathin Through A Bruise” on August 20th 2005. And to celebrate the occasion, we played an album release party at our favorite local venue Jake’s Bar & Grille in Providence, RI. We had played there many, many times and it just felt like home to us. The old Lupos paintings on the wall, the amazing staff.. Just the vibe of the place. I believe it only held 200 people? We had the place to capacity and the show was bedlam. Lots of booze, The Daggers in the house, at least three fist fights, all involving women, people exposing themselves and a variety of undergarments on the floor at shows end.

My old buddy Greg Bass of Scredco Productions, engineered and recorded the show. Although I don’t think it represents our best live performance, Greg was able to capture the craziness of the crowd and the feel of what it was like to see us live at Jakes. There’s no overdubs on this. Warts & all. I highly recommend listening in headphones to hear the Daggers heckling us, the sing-alongs, general crowd shenanigans and the band just playing our asses off. So much fun. That was The Preachers.
